Vienna, 2022-03-15 – The construction cost index (base 2020) for construction of residential buildings reached 115.7 index points in February 2022, according to calculations by Statistics Austria. This represents an increase of 11.4% against February 2021. Compared to January 2022, the index increased by 0.5%.

The index for road construction reached 115.0 index points (+12.4% in annual comparison), the index for bridge construction increased to 119.4 points (+13.1% compared to February 2021), and the index for sanitary engineering stood at 114.0 points (+11.0% in annual comparison).
