S: STATISTICS AUSTRIA, Population Censuses 1951 to 2001, Register-based Census 2011; Compiled on 4 November 2013. - 1) Population number 2001 according to the public announcement on 17 September 2002 (statistical result of the 2001 Population Census). - 2) For data privacy protection reasons, the statistical disclosure control method of "Target Swapping" has been used on a part of the 2011 data. - 3) Including "stateless/unknown". - 4) In the 1971 Population Census, the country of birth is missing for 2 per cent of the population. The missing answers were not imputed. In the 2001 and 2011 Censuses 867 resp. 343 persons were attributed to "born abroad" but without exact information on the country of birth. - 5) In 2011, the category "married" also includes persons in a registered partnership. Persons whose registered partnership has been legally dissolved, are included in the category "divorced", persons whose registered partnership ended due to the death of the partner are included in the category "widowed".
