Job vacancies

The Job Vacancy Survey started in the first quarter of 2009. In the year 2019, 128 200 vacancies were reported, representing an increase of 6.6% compared to 2018 (120 300). There was a great demand in craft and related trade workers (21.6% of all vacancies) as well as service and sales workers (21.4%). Only compulsory education was required for 39.8% of all vacancies, about one fifth of all vacancies required a secondary school leaving certificate or a higher degree. For 34.2% of all vacancies, the expected gross income was below 1 700 Euro and for 36.9% it was between 1 700 and 2 400 Euro. 13.3% of all vacancies were vacancies for part time jobs, 2.6% were vacancies for minor jobs. About 9% of all vacancies were open for seasonal workers.
