30.1% decrease in new passenger car registrations in August 2020
The following ten car makes recorded the highest number of new registrations: VW (share: 16.5%), Skoda (share: 7.3%), Ford (share: 6.4%), Mercedes and Hyundai (share: 6.3% each), Seat (share: 5.8%), BMW (share: 5.5%), Audi (share: 5.3%), Renault (share: 4.9%) and Opel (share: 4.4%). All mentioned Top 10 makes recorded double-digit declines between 11.7% and 41.3%.

-27.8%; passenger cars -33.2%
In the period January to
August 2020, new vehicle registrations fell by a total of 27.8%
to 231 671. During the same period, new passenger car registrations decreased
by 33.2% to 158 477; only cars with petrol hybrid drives
