Currently, there is no regular survey on the traffic of light utility vehicles (vehicles class N1, with a maximum permissible mass not exceeding 3 500 kg). The results presented are from the traffic survey of light utility vehicles, which was conducted in the reporting year 2024 as part of a project co-funded by the European Union. Austrian companies were surveyed on the traffic of their light utility vehicles registered in Austria. With a population of approximately 365 000 vehicles a sample survey with 10 000 vehicles was conducted. The most important key figures are vehicle-kilometers and journeys, as well as transport volume and transport performance for vehicles used for freight transport.
This survey does not contain any information on the traffic of foreign light utility vehicles in Austria.
