Inland waterways accidents

Data on accidents on the Austrian part of the Danube includes the number of accidents with a damaging effect (property damage and/or personal injury) in which vessels were involved. This data is taken from the annual report of viadonau (Österreichische Wasserstraßen GmbH) and published yearly.

S: Viadonau. Compiled on 14 September 2026. Empty fields mean that there were no injuries or killed persons this year. The difference from the total number of accidents can be explained by the fact that some accidents involved goods and passenger vessels.
