The Structure of Earnings Survey (SES) provides detailed information on gross hourly, gross monthly and gross annual earnings as well as on the working time of employed persons. This information allows comprehensive analyses by characteristics such as economic activity, occupation, age, sex, educational level, full/part-time, length of service, employment contract or citizenship.
The survey is conducted every four years and covers enterprises with at least ten employees in the private sector (sections B–N and P–S of the economic classification ÖNACE 2008). From the reference year 2006 onwards, the SES is also the EU-wide data source for the calculation of the EU indicator (unadjusted) gender pay gap (GPG) as well as the proportion of low-wage earners.
Information on the survey can be found at Structure of Earnings Survey.
