Statistics Austria publishes data on revenue from taxes and social contributions in Austria twice a year. Data is compiled according to the European System of National Accounts (ESA 2010). Statistics Austria also publishes a detailed breakdown of revenue of general government and the EU by tax categories and by collecting sector. This detailed data is the basis for the annual data transmission to Eurostat, the OECD and the International Monetary Fund, according to the respective classifications. The tables published here generally include the revenues of general government (sector S.13) as well as those of the EU (sector S.212 – import and customs duties, "Rotterdam surcharge", contributions of banks to the Single Resolution Funds). The data sources are the closed accounts of central, regional and local governments, social insurance funds and extra-budgetary units that are classified within the general government sector.
