The statistics on (permanent) disability pensions are maintained by the Federation of Social Insurances. They refer to all pensions due to reduced capacity to work or permanent disability paid out in December of a reporting year and to new early retirements in the year in question.

Compiled on 28 July 2025. – Number of pensions disbursed in the month of December. – Pensions of the Insurance Institution of the Austrian Notary's Office are not included. – From 2010 onwards, disability pensions are counted as such only up to the age of 60 (women) or 65 (men), thereafter they are converted into regular old-age pensions. – Since 1 January 2014, persons aged 50 and over have been receiving -rehabilitation allowance instead of the temporary disability pensions disburses previously.
