The Register-based labour market careers, published annually in autumn, is a complete survey of labour market careers, following the concepts of the Register-based labour market statistics as closely as possible. For that purpose, non-overlapping labour market careers without any gaps are produced from various administrative registers for all persons – even if they have never had their main residence in Austria.
For example the following questions can be answered: How many people terminate their employment, and what is their labour market status afterwards? Which groups of persons most frequently manage to directly transition to another employment? What are the effects on income of theese employment transitions? Are there differences between rural and urban regions, and what role does education play? The sources are the base registers of the Register-based census and the Register-based labour market statistics.
