The vegetable production statistics are calculated annually and include horticulture as well as field vegetables. Data are based on yields reported by producer organisations and on area information out of the latest horticultural and field vegetable survey. The latter are carried out in the frame of the farm structure survey, and all of the data are updated regularly until new results are available (estimations of agricultural chambers and producer organisations, Agrarmarkt Austria – funding applications).
First production forecasts are published already in July; the final results normally are available in December of the actual year.
