Compiled pursuant to Regulation (EC) 138/2004 as amended, the economic accounts for agriculture (EAA) provide information on the economic situation in agriculture. Based on a sequence of interrelated accounts and tables they describe the production process and generation of primary income by economic activity in agriculture. Information on capital formation is also recorded.
As a satellite account of national accounts, they provide complementary information on the agricultural industry to whose particular nature their concepts are adapted.
Agricultural and other statistical data of Statistics Austria as well as data of external institutions are used to calculate the EAA.
The EAA are annual statistics updated several times a year. Estimates for a given reporting year n are published in December n and April n+1 followed by semi-definitive results in July n+1. Updated results are generally published with the results of the following reference year.
