The average purchase price in euros per m² for arable land and permanent grassland is shown by federal provinces and years. The data is based on the purchase contracts from the document collection of the Austrian land register. Only those contracts in which no family relationship between the contracting parties is recognizable are used.
The price is calculated using a statistical model (Hedonic Regression Time-Dummy Method), taking into account the potentially price-determining parameters of federal province, area, soil climate index, altitude and year. The results for year n are published on September 30, n+1.
