Regional divisions in Austria are shown in the form of tables and in graphic form as maps. These can be administrative units of Austria, such as federal provinces, political districts or municipalities or further administrative breakdowns such as statistical enumeration districts or regional electoral zones. Additionally, area delimitations, in which the boundaries are based on statical data (urban regions, localities), and the NUTS units, which are used in EU statistics, are both shown. Furthermore, the statistical grids (100 m x 100 m, 250 m x 250 m, etc.) are independent of administrative boundaries or other area boundaries and therefore allow a purely objective spatial subdivision based on the distribution of the statistical data.
