Education is one of the central issues of our society, especially when it comes to shaping our future. After all, education is the key to social advancement and individual careers, as well as to Austria's economic development as a whole. “Education in Figures 2023/24” provides a detailed overview of the current education situation in Austria. The focus is on educational trajectories and educational attainment, the school and higher education system, adult education and government spending on education, illustrated by selected indicators and analytical background information. Education in Figures 2023/24 pays particular attention to how higher education graduates enter the labour market and how they evaluate their studies in retrospect.

A separate chapter is dedicated to the educational situation in the federal states. In addition, a volume of tables provides extensive detailed data from the areas of school and higher education statistics as well as additional key data on the educational status of the resident population and state expenditure on education.
