How do earnings differ by economic sectors and occupations? What influence do sex, age, length of service in the enterpreise or education have on earnings levels? How have wages and salaries developed in Austria? How high are earnings in other member states of the European Union?

These and other questions are the focus of the publication on the 2022 Structure of Earnings Survey. The survey provides information on earnings of employees in enterprises with ten or more employees in the private sector. The data contains information on gross hourly, gross monthly and gross annual earnings as well as working time. The publication thus provides fact-based information and is a basis for evidence-based policy-making and empirical research.
