The Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) is a program for the empirical assessment and analysis of basic skills in adulthood, developed under the auspices of the OECD. The current 2022/23 survey represents the main round of the second PIAAC cycle.
This is the second time – after 2011/12 – that internationally comparable results on the basic skills (literacy, numeracy, adaptive problem solving) of adults aged 16 to 65 are available for Austria. The first results are presented in this publication.
