The majority of Austrian enterprises is internationally connected. This publication illustrates how large and middle enterprises in production, construction, retail and services were embedded in global value chains between 2021 and 2023. This includes how and to which extent business functions were sourced from abroad and the impact of recent events including the Covid-19 pandemic or sanctions against Russia on their global supply chains.
