According to the regulation on public finance statistics (Gebarungsstatistikverordnung), Federal Law Gazette II No. 345/2013, general government units, in particular federal government, state governments, local governments and associations of local authorities, have to submit a list of public sector units they controll to Statistics Austria on an annual basis by 31 January of the year following the relevant budget or financial year at the latest.
