Survey of import price index

The import price index measures the average price trends for goods imported from abroad. All goods in the following CPA  classes are recorded monthly: 06.10 crude petroleum, 21.10 basic pharmaceutical products, 21.20 pharmaceutical preparations, 24.41 precious metals, 26.20 computers and peripheral equipment, 26.30 communication equipment, 29.10 motor vehicles and 29.32 other parts and accessories for motor vehicles. Furthermore, all goods of the CPA-sections A to D, i.e. products of agriculture, forestry and fishing, mining and quarrying, manufactured products as well as elictricity, gas, steam and air condtioning are recorded quarterly. Data base for the index compilation is the CIF price. A web questionnaire is used for the survey.
