The Job Vacancy Survey provides a comprehensive picture of job vacancies in Austria. The number of job vacancies is an important economic indicator for national and European policy. Statistics Austria has been conducting the Job Vacancy Survey since 2009. The Job Vacancy Survey is based on a sample of around 6 000 companies per quarter. Larger companies remain in the sample continuously, while smaller companies are surveyed four times in a row.
