Construction output price survey

The construction price index (CPI) is an important component within the price-statistical system. The index provides information on the change in actual prices that the constructor has to pay for construction activities and serves as a deflator to determine the real change in construction output figures.

For the calculation of the construction price index (sector building construction), quarterly prices of construction activities from domestic companies are observed. Decisive reasons for choosing companies are the economic importance and the appropiate regional distribution.

For the considered companies in the sampling applies an quarterly reporting obligation to guarantee the high quality of the results.
