Official electronic signature

Publication of the figurative mark according to Article 19 (3) E-Government Act. Statistics Austria uses the following figurative mark for documents officially signed by electronic means:

The verification of documents available in electronic form is possible via the following verification service: http://www.signaturpruefung.gv.at.

A central verification service for officially signed electronic documents operated by Rundfunk und Telekom Regulierungs-GmbH is available there. Please upload the electronic document to verify the official signature.

For office-signed documents available in paper form, Statistics Austria offers the following options for submitting an authenticity check:

• Send the scanned document as an e-mail: amtssignatur@statistik.gv.at
• Postal delivery of printouts of officially signed documents to the address of Statistics Austria: STATISTICS AUSTRIA

Statistics Austria will check whether the document originates from Statistics Austria and in the case of a positive check will reply in writing: "The document you have submitted originates from Statistics Austria and its content is unchanged".

In case of a negative verification, the following answer is provided: "The document you submitted could not be verified by Statistics Austria".
