Current final annual results
At the beginning of 2010, a new law on registered partnerships for same-sex couples came into force in Austria. In the year 2011, 433 couples officially registered their partnerships, a decrease by 38.6% compared to the previous year. Approximately two thirds (259, 59.8%) of them were male couples. More than half of the partnerships (52.0%) were registered in Vienna.
