Useful energy analysis
In the past, surveys for calculating useful energy analysis were conducted every 5th to 10th year. To take into account the growing speed of technical developments, this survey is currently carried out every 5th year. The latest data available for the useful energy analysis are from the year 2010. By applying the structure of the useful energy analysis to the most actual final energy consumption, information on energy consumption purposes and energy efficiency is obtained.
Based on the results of the latest useful energy analysis, it can be concluded, that 32.3% or 361 320 TJ of the final energy consumption 2010 were used for production purposes. Furthermore, 33.8% or 378 311 TJ are used for traction and 31.1% or 347 701 TJ for space and water heating. Only 2.8% or 31 482 TJ of the final energy consumption were used for lighting and computing.
