Costs and financing of residential construction
The previous legal basis for conducting this statistical survey was the former order for Statistics about residential construction, which expired at the end of 2002. The last survey was conducted for the reporting year 2001. To continue the statistical recording a new executive order based on the Austrian Federal Statistics Act 2000 has to be enacted. As mentioned briefly in the section on completions, there is not yet a sufficiently large number of responses in the related Address, Buildings and Dwellings Register (available in German only) which is needed as a basis for this survey. This causes the delay enacting the required new executive order.
