Increasing construction prices for all branches in 2019

Vienna, 2020-02-10 – Averaged over 2019, the construction output price index for the entire building construction and civil engineering sector (base year 2015) reached 109.7 index points (+3.1% against 2018), according to calculations by Statistics Austria. In the fourth quarter of 2019, this index was at 110.4 points, which represents a growth of 2.8% over the fourth quarter of 2018. Compared to the third quarter of 2019, the construction output price index increased by 0.3%.

The construction output price index of building construction changed to 112.3 index points for the year 2019, an increase of 3.4% in comparison to 2018. At the same time, the index of civil engineering increased by 2.6% (106.3 index points).
