What happens when first starting the graphical user interface?

To use all opportunities offered by the graphical user interface we recommend using a current version of the Java Runtime Environment.

The graphical user interface requires at least Java Runtime Environment Standard Edition V1.4.x by Sun Microsystems. Windows Vista resp. Windows 7 requires at least Java Plug-in 6.

If you have no Java plug-in installed on your computer, as yet, the Internet Explorer browser will try to install version V1.4.x of the Java plug-in automatically (no newer version for reasons of compatibility). If you are using Windows Vista resp. Windows 7 please stop the installation and install Java Plug-in 6 manually.

Please note that, certain Windows versions require administrative rights for the installation of a Java Plug-in.

If automatic installation does not work and when using another Internet browser you may download the required Java Plug-in right here:

Plug-in download
