Gebarungen und Sektor Staat 2008 - Teil II

The publication “Gebarungen und Sektor Staat“(„Public Finance and Sector Government“) consists of two volumes since the reference year 2003. Part II now available presents aggregate information about the budgets of federal, state and local governments. In addition detailed results of the tax sharing system and ESA 95-data about sector general government – compiled at the end of September 2009 – are published. The time series cover the years 2005 to 2008.

Part I edited in Mai 2009 comprises ESA 95-data about sector general government compiled at the end of March 2009, budget figures, first benchmark results according to the tax sharing system and metadata about sources and methods.

Information about Public Finance can be gathered and presented twofold.
a) The “Finance Statistics” contains data on receipts, expenses, personal resources and balance sheets of the federal, state and local governments and the taxes shared between those units plus earmarked intergovernmental transfers.
b) From the National Accounts’ point of view revenue and expenditure of all units belonging to the general government sector according to the concepts and classifications of the System of European National and Regional Accounts (ESA95) are shown.
