Vienna, 2010-07-23 – According to the latest available data from Statistics Austria, 14.92 million nights spent were registered in the tourism summer season so far (May to June 2010). Responsible for the positive figures in overnights is a rise in the number of resident visitors' overnights which increased by 1.6% to 5.62 million. The number of nights spent by non-resident visitors dropped by 0.4% to 9.29 million. In the first half of the year (January to June), overnights developed slightly positive (63.91 million; +0.2% compared to the previous year).
