Preliminary foreign trade results January 2010: decreases of around 3% for both directions of trade
Vienna, 09 April 2010 – According to preliminary results calculated by Statistics Austria total imports amounted to 7.21 bn euro and total exports amounted to 6.90 bn euro in January 2010. Austrian imports decreased by 3.1% and Austrian exports by 2.7% compared to January 2009. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of 0.31 bn euro.
