Bildung in Zahlen 2006/07 [Education in figures 2006/07] gives an overview of the current situation of education in Austria. Results and indicators derived from various statistics are presented by STATISTICS AUSTRIA in the form of text, tables and graphics, which provide information on various areas of education such as the school and university systems, adult education, educational paths, educational attainment and government expenditure on education.

This volume on key indicators and analyses depicts selected education indicators in graphic form accompanied by brief analytical background texts, providing a comprehensive overview of the state of education in Austria. Characteristics of the state of education in the nine Länder (federal provinces) are presented in a special chapter. This publication is supplemented by a separate volume of tables, which provides detailed data from the areas of school and university statistics as well as key data on educational attainment of the resident population and on government expenditure on education.
