Vienna, 2 May 2010 – The efforts of government, federal states and communes in developing childcare facilities are paying off. The number of children in Austria's childcare facilities in typical kindergarten age of 3-to-5-years has risen annually by 4 000 to a total of 214 000 children. Based on calculations of Statistics Austria an increase of almost 4 000 to a total of 36 800 children aged from 0- to 2-years in childcare facilities was noticed.
