Vienna, 27 May 2010 – Data collected by Statistics Austria show that in the
winter term 2009/10 5 829 students were enrolled at the 12 Austrian private
universities. 56% of them are women. The biggest private universities
are the Health and Life Sciences University Hall/Tyrol with 1 189 students,
Anton Bruckner Private University Linz (1 017 students) and Private University
Konservatorium Vienna (908 students). 11% are enrolled in a PhD- programme.
38% of all students are foreign nationals.
