Vienna, 2010-07-14 – The annual inflation rate of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) measured by Statistics Austria was 2.0% in June 2010, a slight increase compared to the previous month (May 1.9%). Fuel and heating oil prices were 14% higher than a year ago. Without this increase, the inflation in June would have been +1.4%.

The annual inflation rate in terms of the harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) was 1.8% in June 2010 (May 1.7%), reaching the index level of 109.62 (2005=100).
