Vienna, 2010-06-18 – As reported by Statistics Austria the Industrial Producer Price Index, IPPI 2005, reached 108.3 points in April 2010, representing a price increase of 2.5% compared to April of the previous year. In March 2010 the annual rate of change had been 0.4% and in February 2010 -0.4%. The increase of the Price Index was mainly affected by the rise in energy prices (+7.4%) and by the rise in prices for intermediate goods (+2.5%). The index rose by 0.8% between April and March 2010.
