Vienna, 20 May 2010 - As reported by Statistics Austria the Industrial Producer Price Index, IPPI 2005, reached 107.4 points in March 2010, representing a price increase of 0.4% compared to the month of the previous year. This was the first raise of the producer prices since February 2009, when the annual rate of change was 0.6%. The increase of the Price Index mainly reflected the raise of energy prices of 4.1% compensating distinct price decreases for intermediate goods (-0.6%) and investment goods (-0.1%). Between March and February 2010 the index rose by 0.8%.
