Conversion into FILE in output format DBASE on Host

In this chapter we define a new output format building a file in DBAS format on the Host of Statitics Austria. Please note in this context that this output form can be recommended for special valuations, only (e.g. tables that have to be processed in MS ACCESS (TM) subsequently). For further information please read the chapter on output formats of the online help.

In the menu bar of the window "ISIS integrated..." first click on Output form and right after on Output format... The window "Build/change output format" opens. Go on by clicking on the button New... .

The window "Build new output format" opens. Enter DATABASE into the box Format name; continue by selecting DBASE from the list box Format name and enter MUSTER into the text box File name. Then, go on by clicking on the Save button.

Go on by opening the window "Build/change/run query"; then select the output device from the pull-down menu by clicking on Output format... and highlight the query by means of the name DIM3. Click on the button Run...

The window "Select output format" opens. Highlight the output format $DATABASE and click on Run... .

The window "Transfer" can be seen as long as the transfer is in progress.

After a successful termination, the message ready appears in the status bar on the bottom of the window, at the same time costs were updated within the window "ISIS integrated....".

In our example, the file generated on the host of Statistics Austria bears the name $T5AUT.TEST.MUSTER.DBASE.DATA.
