The (structural) criterion represents the structuring variable of ISIS . It classifies an object by stating the "values" of a feature used to distinguish between individual objects (items).
Every criterion has a criterion code (e.g. B00) and a criterion name (e.g. province).
Angle brackets indicate as well wether the criterion is <free> or will incur a fee (not specified).
