User criteria

You have the chance to define user criteria (BEKA or ISIS host). These are criteria composed of the items of one or several ISIS criteria. Within a query, they may be used as normal structuring criteria.

All items of a user criterion may be made up of one or several item(s) of an ISIS criterion. From this, the possibility arises to generate individual classifications. Thus, you are entitled to:

• define a new criterion the items of which are determined as sums via ISIS istems.
• create new names for an ISIS criterion and its items which appeare more appropriate to an individual approach.
• re-order items of an ISIS criterion (enumeration district, plitical districts)
• define a new criterion containing a mere subset of the items of an ISIS criterion (or of several parallel ones)

All these opportunities may be combined arbitrarily.

Use user criterion

As in quick tour, by means of this example you may reconstruct the way how you use a user criterion (see note).

One acts on the assumption that items of the user criterion &00 should be added to the existing query.

Please open within the window "Build new query/Change query" the query called DIM3 . Click the window "Change query" on to the button User criteria... .

The window "Add user criteria" is opened.Highlight the user criterion &00 and click OK.

Close the window "Add user criteria".

Within the left-hand screen of the window "Change query" the user criterion &00 was added.

Add items to query

Open the subdirectory &00 and highlight the three first NUTS 3 units. Click the button select to add them to the query.

Write into the Query name box for example DIM3BGL and click on the button Run. The new query is stored and subsequently run.
